We Run this Town!

Last Saturday, Dec 3rd, was the St. Jude Marathon, Half Marathon, and Grizzly's 5K.  For those that are unaware, a marathon is 26.2mi, half is 13.1mi, and a 5K is 3.1 miles.  Sound crazy, right?

We kicked off the weekend with a pasta party at our house with Stephanie, Matt, my Mom, Sarah, Joe, Joe's out of town friend Craig, and Clay.  Of course I neglected to take pictures:(

Stephanie, Matt, Joe, Craig, Clay, and I all rand the marathon.  It was my 4th time to do the St. Jude Marathon... and possibly my last if I have any common sense.  Tyler ran the half while Sarah (and bun in the oven Sally) walked the half.  My mom walked the 5K.

Despite a long and weary run, I was excited and relieved to see familiar faces at the finish line.  Tyler's parents, Mike and Kris, were there to cheer us on and well as my mom.

After the race, we made a pit stop for a photo op in front of the Peabody Hotel lobby's Christmas tree.  We then went home to shower and rest before heading to Collierville for Tyler's work group Christmas party.

Oh, and a special "thank you" to Breakaway Running for their training runs this year.  They contribute so much to the Memphis running community.  We appreciate your commitment to area runners!
