It's a........ Girl!

Tyler and I went to the doctor on Tuesday, February 5th to find out about what the rest of our lives would entail.  We were more than thrilled to find out that we are having a baby girl!  Abigail Claire Wolfe is doing very well will all great measurements and labs.
It was a very big challenge to hold the secret for a few days, as we wanted to share with our family and friends but didn't have an opportunity until the weekend.

Our first reveal was to our coworkers.  Tyler did not have a special reveal at IP.  My department was, on the otherhand, lucky to get some delicious dark chocolate and Andies mint icing cupcakes filled with pink icing to reveal the gender.  Prior to digging in, my coworkers had to select "Team Pink" or "Team Blue."  The results?  Five picked pink and 13 selected blue.  In addition, 3 other employees in an ancillary department all picked blue.  As it turns out, only 5 were right but all got to enjoy a tasty treat.
Our big reveal was on Saturday, the 9th.  We also had the same cupcakes for this day.  We were fortunate to have many of our family member and some close friends to share the news.  We had a total of 25 people in our den at one time for the reveal.  The votes?  The room was mostly split even with maybe a few more on the Team Pink side.  All of our family on Tyler's side was banking on Team Pink, while my side was mostly Team Blue. My mom did not vote because she knew already because she had accompanied me to a consignment sale earlier in the week. Of note, my sister was 100% sure that it was a boy.  I'll know to not let her pick any lotto tickets for me in the future.  While the predictions are just games, everyone was very excited to find out that baby Abigail is doing great.

Belle wore her "necklace" to celebrate being a Big Sis.  She is so excited to have a little girl to share squeaky toys with.  She also looks forward to taking the baby on lots of good walks.
My dad, brother, and oldest nephew, Chase.  I think liking the color blue must be hereditary.
Church friends, Tabitha and Clay, joined us for the reveal.  They picked Team Pink!

I had the opportunity to pose with ALL of my nephews and niece for the first time possibly ever.  From left to right, Charlie (7), Carlie (3), Jack (2), and Chase (9).  All with blond hair.  Will baby Abigail have blond hair?  We shall see!
College friends Emily and Kizer with their sweet baby Cannon (6mo).  Cannon is very excited to have a little girl friend that is also a baby Bulldog!
The kids helped me unwrap some sweet gifts.  Baby Abigail got some adorable pink newborn clothes, burp clothes, socks, a blanket, and some sweet baby books.  She is so lucky to have family and friends that love her so much!

In addition to the gender reveal, my family had a surprise birthday celebration for my dad.  He turned 60 on February 10th.  We sang happy birthday and had some yummy ice-cream cake.  I can't think of a better way to celebrate!
